At the end of 2022, beginning of 2023, a soil sample was retrieved from the farm of each group member within the 1066 cluster. The soil was analysed and a detailed report was provided outlining a number of different data point on the health of the soil for each member. Some of these data point included the quantity of organic carbon stored within the soil as well as the nutrient index of each sample for a number of nutrients including phosphate and magnesium. The date gave the group interesting insight into the health of their soils across the landscape and allowed for the creation of important data sources such as a carbon heat map of the 1066 area.
